warmtepompkiezen.nl respects your privacy and processes personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch GDPR Implementation Act (UAVG).

warmtepompkiezen.nl is an independent comparison service for heat pump installers in the Netherlands and is operated by a natural person established in Spain. The processing of personal data is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect

Web analytics

We use privacy-friendly web analytics that do not place cookies and do not store personal data. No IP addresses, device data or other identifiable information is collected.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display advertisements via Google AdSense. When you consent to cookies, Google may place cookies to show personalised ads. Without your consent, only non-personalised ads are shown. More information can be found in our Cookie Policy.

Contact information

If you contact us, we process the data you provide (such as email address and name) solely to answer your enquiry.

Data of listed installers

warmtepompkiezen.nl publishes a directory of heat pump installers in the Netherlands. The data of these installers (company name, address, postcode, telephone number, website, public email addresses, reviews and geographic location) is collected from publicly available sources, in particular:

• the public Trade Register of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK);
• publicly available information on Google Maps;
• public contact pages of the installers' own websites.

This concerns exclusively business contact data of legal entities or self-employed entrepreneurs who make this data publicly available for the purpose of carrying out their professional activity. We do not process private data of consumers.

Purpose of processing

We use this data to:

• offer an up-to-date and accurate comparison directory of heat pump installers to end users;
• inform the relevant installers of their listing in our directory, give them the opportunity to have the displayed information corrected or removed, and provide them with an optional badge for use on their own website.

Legal basis for B2B contact

The legal basis for one-off contact with listed installers is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), in combination with Article 11.7(4) of the Dutch Telecommunications Act (exception for business recipients).

We have carried out a legitimate interests assessment (LIA) in which our interests (transparency towards listed parties, quality control of our database) have been weighed against the privacy interests of the recipients. The balance falls in our favour because:

• it concerns exclusively business email addresses (typically info@, contact@);
• the content of the message is relevant to the recipient's professional activity;
• every message contains a clear and free opt-out option;
• we do not sell products or services, do not charge commission and do not trade leads;
• the contact is one-off and at most followed by two short reminders that automatically stop on any response.

The documentation of this legitimate interests assessment is internally available and will be provided upon request from the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Right to object (opt-out)

Listed installers may object at any time to further processing of their data by:

• replying to an email received from us;
• sending a request to info@warmtepompkiezen.nl.

On a removal request, the profile is deleted within five working days and added to an internal list which prevents the data from being included again in future updates of our database.

Legal basis

We process personal data only on the basis of:

• Consent — for placing non-essential cookies (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR);
• Legitimate interest — for operating the website, showing non-personalised ads, and one-off contact with listed installers (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, in conjunction with Article 11.7(4) of the Dutch Telecommunications Act);
• Performance of a contract — for responding to your contact requests (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR);
• Legal obligation — when we are required to process data under applicable laws or regulations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Sharing with third parties

We do not share your data with third parties, except:

• Google (AdSense) — only when you consent to cookies
• Hosting provider (Vercel) — for technically operating the website
• Legal obligations — if we are legally required to do so

Retention period

We do not retain personal data longer than necessary. Contact messages are deleted within 12 months after handling.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access — you can request what data we hold about you
• Rectification — you can have incorrect data corrected
• Erasure — you can request deletion of your data
• Restriction — you can request restriction of processing
• Portability — you can receive your data in a common format
• Objection — you can object to the processing

You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Listed installers may additionally have their profile removed at any time by sending an email to info@warmtepompkiezen.nl. We process the request within five working days and ensure the data is not included again in future updates of the directory.
